I think its yet to be seen, what the long term impact was of Dan's Footwear patterns in his adolescent years. Who knows what has been preserved in his foot calluses, bacteria, rocks, bugs, fossils. This picture looks like the shots they take of the frostbitten climbers on those disaster summit attempts on Everest and other peaks. You done well to keep so many toes when so many fungus are after it Dan.

What a great memory, Dan and his duct tape flip-flops. We love you Dan.

I feel pressured to comment.

In my defense, I didn't wear the sandals- they wore me. in any event this picture gives new meaning to the phrase "carbon footprint." Also, I wouldn't rule out the possibility of someone having tampered with this photo. Mom probably photoshopped it. The black on the bottom of the foot highly resembles the "spraypaint" option on MSpaint.

as per the 'flops, I think they're in the witness protection program trying to start a new life somewhere in the attic. (I don't think I ever mustered up the courage to throw them away.)

Caleb never wears shoes! EVER! he comes in and his feet look terrible, little cuts and scrapes. this is my new 'inspirational' photo to let him know the future affects if he doesn't shape up! Once i 'talked' with dan's sandals. even they said that they needed more space and the relationship was getting strained!!
