Parked in the Back

It is very strange to have the Snoasis parked in the back for the summer. I have mixed feelings, mostly because of family. I won't get to have much family around and I will sure miss that. The extra money was always great.. for us all. I will admit that I still struggle with the other business getting our spot and our costumers. Grrrrr! But it also feels good to not have to worry about all the day to day, hour to hour stuff. Dad has been chopping the trees and digging and moving plants, and getting into the daily yard things. I have been planting flowers (my sad attempt every year). We are hoping to get out and travel around a bit more this year...who knows? We are serious about doing the Zion Narrows end of June. Maybe the Thursday before the reunion....or that Friday????? Get down there Wed. or Thurs. night and get into the canyon by 6 or 7 in the morning.... out by 3 or 4 if pretty good hikers. We heard about the way to do it as a day trip and we want to go. Best time is the end of June. Would love any and all to come with us. Think about it :)

so they did end up setting up their building down by dan's. i was gonna ask you about that. Change is always hard- the "hard core snoasis years" will always stand as a special time whne family would gather and the summer would be full of stress and money. Mom, honestly i think that the summer would have been very hard if you had done it this year. ithink you made a good choice. I admit, it was nice to come down and work a few days and make a lot of money- but i guess you can't hold onto a good thing when it no longer is "good". hwve fun being free this summer!

that is way to strange about the other building being 'ok' and ours not?! you should pursue the 'law'.. anyways, about the narrows, it is soooooo fun, however it depends on where you start. Deena and i took most of 2 days to get through it last time, and we have a pretty gnarly story about an older couple who wanted to do a day hike that took them 2 days that we passed along the way!

I realize this is your family blog, but my family has been looking for Snoasis for weeks. We were all so disappointed with Dan's for putting up a different shack. Believe me, they won't be getting your customers (they serve a much inferior product). Just thought I would let you know how much you were loved by the community. ~Snoasis fan
